My favourite Pinterest boards for colourful home inspiration.
It’s no secret if you’ve been following me for a while now that I’m a lover of all things eclectic, colourful, and bold in the home. I’m currently renting a little country-style apartment from my in-laws, but that doesn’t stop me scrolling through Pinterest for the most beautiful maximalist home inspiration while I save up for my planned house renovation. Today I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite accounts and images that really make my design buds tingle.
To start things off we have Chelsea Jade @ Chelsea Jade Loves, she specialises in fashion and lifestyle but this home inspiration board of ‘pretty colours’ really hits hard. Her chosen selection of colourful, youthful interiors really appeals to me, especially the DIY’ed painted furniture contrasting with the hanging plants. I can also see lots of references to art and styles throughout the ages each with a unique contemporary twist which is a big yes in my book. Click the image to see more…
Next, we have Chronicle Books board titled ‘Inspiring Interiors’. I especially love the sophistication of these styled photos, combining the eccentricity of the bold colours with the traditional atmosphere of the home. Each palette is so rich, with layer on top of layer of textures and materials. I especially love the bold rugs of the last two images set against the statement living room sofas. So delicious.
This board I just love because it goes on forever, with new inspiration constantly pinned. It’s by Jojotastic and Domino Magazine, titled ‘Interiors- home decor inspiration’. There’s a great mixture of signature furniture/decor inspiration and full room images, with some of the coolest chairs I have ever seen. Whether you’re into bold, statement interiors or more minimalistic ensembles, there’s something for anyone who just wants to portray an enriched, stylish aesthetic.
Then we have Ohoh Deco’s board entitled ‘Interior * Inspiration’ this one I loved for paint inspiration, including how to use paint to give depth and style to an interior other than the conventional four walls painted. Paint can be such a low-cost way of adding character to an interior, either with geometric shapes or more organic forms. This board also has some beautiful photos of interior styling details that can sometimes be overlooked when creating a whole room from scratch. I’d defo recommend a nosey.
Up next is Pad Lifestyle’s board called ‘Colour Blocking’ I absolutely love this account for interior inspiration, she very helpfully splits different interior aesthetics and colours into different boards on her page so you can dive right into your chosen style. This board in particular stood out to me as it’s something I’d love to try in my future home. I’m particularly drawn to the way it’s used on the staircase and to split the walls in half. So inventive and again so low-cost to re-create. Click the image to see more of her boards.
And finally, last but not least I have my very own interior design inspo boards on the Freya Niamh Design Pinterest account. I’ve split the house into various boards including bathroom, bedroom, office, kitchen etc and each one is full of the most beautiful, vibrant interior decor and inspiration that I personally would love to integrate into either my office or future home. I constantly update the boards as I do have a slight addiction to the pin button on an evening eek so if you’d like to see more simply click the image above and follow my account.
There we have it, I hope you’ve enjoyed browsing through some new interior design inspiration either just for fun or for your own homes. Let me know in the comments what your favourite board from the selection is and whether you’ll be re-creating some of the ideas yourself. If you have any boards you’d recommend then please do also leave them in the comments below.
Happy pinning!
