Hello Autumn: My First T-shirts, Tote Bags, & Scrunchies
The squirrel's out of the bag, Freya Niamh Design now sells t-shirts, tote bags, satin hair scrunchies, and poetry prints!! Oh my goddd I can't believe it. This is a super exciting blog post to write as I've wanted to design these new products for the longest time and here we are with all of four of them in my first autumn collection!!
This autumn I wanted to try something a little different, I've also been dying to experiment with my new heat press and finally put my new sewing skills to the test. For those of you that don't know, this year I've been teaching myself to use a sewing machine with the goal of making my own fabrics to sew products with. I'm so chuffed to share that I've made my own satin scrunchies, entirely from scratch with two of my new patterns.
Firstly we have the very autumnal/fall vibes with squirrels, brown leaves, pumpkins, and mushrooms set around a cute little thatch cottage. This is for all of the autumn lovers...
Secondly we have something a little spookier with my first halloween pattern. This illustration features eyeballs, skulls, ghosts, bats, and lots more horrors surrounding a particularly creepy haunted house.
I've printed the original designs onto new tote bags and t-shirts and printed the patterns onto some super luxurious duchess satin fabric. One day I'd love to sell my own fabric so I see this as my first steps towards that goal as I put the materials to the test and work out what would work best for my shop.
I'm blown away by how the t-shirts and tote bags have come out, all with the help of my little Cricut heat press. This piece of kit did such a superb job of creating such high quality, vibrant pieces. I now can't wait to make more and see what other products I could print onto.

A closer look at the products...
Both t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton and are currently available in 3 sizes. Firstly we have my new autumn tee...
With a recycled cotton tote to match...
Then we have my halloween tee for the perfect casual trick or treat look...
Paired with a tote-ally spooky tote bag
With the cutest satin scrunchies to match!
Moving on to artwork I have a cute selection of new prints available to shop including my very first poetry prints. You can read about my poetry journey in my last blog here.
These autumnal and halloween inspired prints would make the perfect seasonal accessory to your home. I would hang the pair, one with the thatch cottage and one with the poem, next to each other in the complimenting colours to add a little warmness and nostalgia to my living room.

And yeh, I hope you find something you love within this new range. It's gotten me so excited to finish off my Christmas collection, let me know if there's something you especially want to see in the comments below.
As always, have a great day!
Lots of love,
