An introduction to THE WALL EDIT by Freya Niamh Design

What an exciting couple of months in the making! I'm so excited to finally welcome you all to a new part of Freya Niamh Design... The Wall Edit. This has been an idea of mine for the longest time combining my two biggest passions both illustration and interior design to form a treasure trove of inspiration.

An Introduction.

Before I get into what to expect from the wall edit, for those of you that don't know my name's Hannah and I'm the founder of the home decor and illustration company Freya Niamh Design, Freya and Niamh are my middle names just to confuse things and I've been running the company since 2017. I graduated from Northumbria university in 2017 with a degree in interior design, a subject I'm hugely passionate about, and I've also just bought my first ever home, a 1940's mid-terrace come renovation project which I'll be documenting the progress of on my new home account Kinghom which you can find on both Instagram and Tiktok. 

That's a little more about me so lets get into my new exciting project: The Wall Edit...

What is the Wall Edit?

As you may or may not know my illustration style is very out-there, developed over the years, I love to use the boldest of colours particularly pinks and oranges, of towns and cities around the world which I draw on my trusty iPad pro. I absolutely love creating these illustrations as they really feel like an extension of my personality however I've also always wanted to create a collection of prints that are designed to accentuate an interior as oppose to dominate one. 

That's where the wall edit fits in. Here I've designed a wide array of prints based on interior trends, colours, and room aesthetics to aid your interior design dilemmas. I'm aware that not everyone is a hugely visual person therefore I'll be putting together blogs, mood boards, and social media content to inspire your room decoration and help create spaces you truly feel proud of. 

From finding cool new decor and paint swatches to reading up on seasonal interior design trends use this as a resource for all your interior design desires. I'm always open to new ideas so if there's anything you'd like to see, including DIYS, leave a comment or send me a message and I'll see what I can do.

My goal is to grow a kind and uplifting community of interior obsessors like me, and inspire you to create interiors that you're proud of. I just can't wait to get started!

For those of you that have been here from the beginning don't worry. The pink and orange statement art is not going anywhere, I still love to create new travel prints each month, in fact I'm working on a new one as I write this blog. There'll just be a larger variety of prints to get your hands on.
