Use art to pass the time during lockdown. | How to get creative during a global pandemic.
Hiya lovelies, how’re you doing? How’s life? At this present time the UK is in lockdown 3.0 and I think I can speak for most people when I say I’m chuffing OVER IT. There’s no sun, no Christmas and no socially distanced chin wags to keep us motivated and the constant uncertainty just ain’t great for anyones anxiety levels. Which is why I’ve decided to write this blog post, offering a little escapism from the monotony of lockdown 2021 with some glitter bombs and messy fingers for all to attempt and maybe even relieve some stress! Who knows.
So to begin with I’ve got an idea, you’ll need to look through all your latest online shopping trolleys. What’s in there that you’re just ‘totally obsessed with’ this month? A pink scarf? Pair of earrings? Plant pot? What is it that has really tickled your fancy? And ask yourself (I know this may be crazy to hear) but can you, yes you, make this yourself? Lets be honest it’s not necessarily about saving money as I’m sure you’ll spend that on something else but this could be your big moment to try something new and just have fun!
If this seems a little bit tooo out there at this present moment then just think what is it that you’ve always wanted to attempt.. could be a watercolour landscape? A Bob Ross painting? A humongous pom pom to hang on your door handle? You decide (no pressure). If you’ve not currently got the supplies you need I suggest either purchasing some materials through etsy or amazon or simply using what you can find around the house. It may add to the enjoyment, creating a piece of art out of a toilet roll and a bag of paper clips.
Once you’ve decided it’s time to get down to it.
