A Colour Lovers Ultimate Small Business Christmas Gift Guide 2021
Hello, how are ya? Can’t believe we’re back here already where does the time go? This year I’ve got some absolute bangers to share with you, the theme being more is definitely more… well you know me. 👀
I’ve picked out some of my most favourite small businesses from the UK that I’ve been in awe of throughout the past year and today I’d like to share with you my finds so you can get some unique gifts for your girl friends and family this year.
Grab a cuppa and your credit card and lets get down to business! Eek I’m so excited.
Kicking things off we have the incredible Uglie Mug founded by the extremely talented Hatti. She hand makes her ceramic mugs from start to finish with a really beautiful crafted style finishing them with a hand-painted glaze of various bold colours.
The magic here is that each piece is totally unique making an incredibly special gift for your bestie. She also sells trinket dishes, plates, bowls, and prints. I don't know about you but this mug looks like it's dying to be filled with hot choc and marshmallows, definitely the type of mug you want to get cosy with.
If you've been following my business for a while now you may recognise this business from last years gift guide but I honestly haven’t gotten over how gorgeous Fat Pom Poms products are.
Famous for her pompom wreaths and sculptures she has just launched her Christmas collection with some insanely gorgeous resin hair clips, earrings, and waste resin trays
#reducewaste.
Founded by Jess in 2014 I don't think you could ever tire of it from pom pom wreath kits to home decor to bold resin accessories it's all lovingly made by Jess in her studio. But be quick she's only open for one more month of 2021 and then she'll be shut for a well deserved holiday.
The perfect shop to find gifts your friends will love.
Next we have the amazing Ditsy Cow. Founder Holly is a girl after my own heart, along with her absolutely hilarious cheeky stationery she also makes personalised baubles, candles, personalised wine glasses and self-love vinyl mirror stickers.
Her insta page is a paradise of mean girls meets Barbie with a slice of cow print. So stunning and I know all my friends are obsessed with her witty, one-of-a-kind collections.
She's recently launched her Christmas collection featuring alcohol themed cards and gift wrap, personalised doggy candles and baubles, some best sellers from last year, and a whole lotta holly. I literally cannot list it all here as something the Ditsy Cow brand's famous for is her hugggeee collections. And if all that wasn't enough a % of all the profits will be donated to a help the homeless charity.
As soon as I saw U_G_G_L_Y pop up on instagram I knew I had to include her in my 2021 Christmas gift guide. With some of the most unique jewellery designs I've ever seen this collection is literally fit for royalty.
Captioned as weird gear for your ears this small batch wearable art is definitely one for the Christmas stocking as you'll always remember receiving her out of this world jewellery.
I think U_G_G_L_Y is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Time for a bit of PROTEINN, I can't tell you how much I love Soeuf. Founded by the lovely Soph who'd just like to clarify that she is in fact NOT a chicken. This eggy paradise makes me so happy. Soph specialises in egg creation with Bowie eggs, pop art eggs, flower power eggs, leopard print eggs, even a BIMINI egg! All limited edition and handmade in small batches.
This Christmas she's launching Christmas egg baubles which may now still be on pre-order alongside prints, cards, and sculptures. You'll definitely be safe with knowing that no-one could possibly have the same gift as you.
Featured in Elle, Harpers Bazaar and on the front cover of Cosmopolitan to name but a few, this next brand is aesthetic goals. Blackcurrant pop describes itself as eclectic, primary school chic and if you take a scroll through their collection you'll see why. It takes me right back to the 2000's with bold rings, earrings and hair accessories ready for a playground takeover.
When layered these bold pieces really do create a truly unique style for people that don't take themselves too seriously and just want to have a bit of fun with their look. I'm OBSESSED.
Next we have a relatively new discovery for me which is the incredibly talented By Adele, something totally different to the other brands mentioned, Adele hand makes punch needle and tufted items including rugs, frames, mirrors, notebooks, and coasters in the most vibrant and beautiful colours. I'm obsessed with her pink and orange combos.
I can see these designs popping off in any interior and her incredible talents could turn any home into a cosy, rainbow palace. Will definitely be stocking up once I've bought a house. 😍
Last but not least I have to add my own brand Freya Niamh Design, specialising in wall art, in particular travel prints, you’ll find unique artwork for every occasion along with jigsaws, wrapping paper, greetings cards, personalised mugs, and coasters.
I love to create products for people that like to stand out in style whether that be in their home or with their stationery. I created this colourful illustration style during the pandemic as a little saturated parallel world to escape into while times were hard and it seems to have resonated with a lot of other people.
As a full-time illustrator I'm always looking out for new inspiration and this Christmas I've launched two new collections: Friendmas and Cats vs Dogs, both of which you can find by clicking the links below:
If you want to be in with the chance of winning all the items pictured here I'm currently running a giveaway (18th November- 21st November) over on my instagram in which you could win everything just in time for Christmas. Simply click here to enter...
As always thank you so much for reading, I hope you find something new and fun to gift your besties this year and have an amazing Christmas! Until next time... <3
