I recently got a message from a really lovely customer who recognised a little boat in the corner of one of my illustrations. Unbeknownst to me when drawing from a reference photo of the Liverpool Albert Docks, I'd drawn one of the boats that her late Grandad had been the engine master on.
Now I don't do custom illustrations anymore but she asked if I could add the name of the boat to the front and after hearing her incredible story and the history I had to include it. So here we have the BROCKLEBANK in her full glory.
She was over the moon with her print to add to her memory wall and now every time I sell my Liverpool prints I remember her grandad and all the hard work done in the docks during the war (which I was completely ignorant to before).
